Hailing from Pensacola, Florida with a thirst for greatness and knack for perseverance, Tyrone Welch has always been on a quest to be an agent for change and an inspiration to everyone he encounters. Professionally, Tyrone has spent the past decade working in the Information Technology field and is currently a Senior Business Analyst for a Fortune 500 company. Aside from his professional work, he is heavily involved with community projects, most specifically serving as the Founder and President of the Bold Kode Foundation, which helps black youth find their niche within the academic disciplines of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
​​In conjunction with running his foundation, he is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  where he currently serves as the Polemarch (President) for the Austin Alumni Chapter. Tyrone is also currently in the process of authoring two books to showcase his literary skills and are set for distribution in late 2023.

Armed with knowledge, the desire to help people, and the dedication to the betterment of the community, he has become a modern-day renaissance man on an endless journey and mission to further the success of the culture by spreading his wisdom on every platform possible. Whether it’s speaking on stages, speaking behind a microphone, holding a pen and pad, or hovering over a keyboard, there's two things that are certain about Tyrone Welch: he is VERSATILE, and his AMBITION is ENDLESS.

The "Surface" Tidbits

  • I'm a proud alumnus of THE Alabama State University (GO HORNETS!!!) and am an unashamed fanatic for my HBCU, and all of our athletic squads. I was bestowed the elite distinction of being selected as a member of the 2022 ASU Top 50 Under 50 which recognizes alumni under the age of 50 that have made notable achievements through professional and personal endeavors. I invest in my alma mater through various ventures annually, including the physical infrastructure; I even have the brick on campus to prove it :-).
  • I am a HUGE music lover, most specifically hip-hop, R&B, and old soul. My favorite hip-hop artists are the Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, T.I. and OutKast, while the smooth side loves The Isley Brothers.
  • I am an avid sports fan and an unabashed history buff, so tread lightly and clear your calendars once it comes to discussions within those realms.
  • Outside of my community work and multiple endeavors, the BEST JOB that I have is being the proud #GirlDad of a wonderful princess, Taylor.

The "Surprise" Tidbits

  • I've been a Swiss Army knife in artistry. I served as a freelance writer for Urban Image Magazine writing content for their website and I even had a critically acclaimed article “State of Hip-Hop: Where’s the Defibrillator?” published in their virtual magazine in 2015.
  • I also started my own internet radio show entitled “The Porch” in 2015 as well, which is now produced in podcast format.
  • As a youth, I was cast in several stage plays, the most notable play was entitled “Love Ain’t Got Nothing to Do with It”, which toured throughout the Gulf Coast. I have other theatrical experiences including stage management support roles, and also writing and directing several plays and programs myself.
